Job Summary
The Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining vehicles according to manufacturer standards while ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and timely completion of assigned jobs.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle faults related to mechanical and electrical systems.
- Perform repairs on clutch, brake, suspension, axle, propeller shaft, transmission, engine, and related systems.
- Carry out overhauling, removal, refitting, and adjustment of vehicle components.
- Complete assigned jobs within the standard Repair Operation Time (ROT).
- Perform preventive maintenance and periodic servicing.
- Possess basic knowledge of electrical components such as batteries, starter motors, and alternators.
- Perform retrofit and modification work as instructed by supervisors.
- Attend roadside breakdown and emergency service jobs when assigned.
- Maintain replaced parts for warranty and paid repairs.
- Collect required spare parts through approved requisition procedures.
- Maintain workshop safety, cleanliness, and discipline.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work bays clean and organized.
- Participate in technical training programs.
- Follow supervisor instructions and company service standards.
- Perform any additional work assigned by the immediate supervisor.
